After numerous setbacks and possible cancellation, this highly anticipated free game set in the Fallout universe will be reborn from its ashes to the delight of fans!
In addition to Fallout London, another fan-made game in the legendary post-apocalyptic universe made a big splash: Nuevo México, a completely new adventure, this time designed in New Vegas. However, like the volunteer title “Team FOLON”, this title also had many problems. But contrary to all expectations, this mod with even greater potential than London’s is making waves again, with a very enticing trailer.
Free trip to New Mexico in Fallout New Vegas style
While Fallout London’s release was interrupted by the deployment of Fallout 4’s controversial “next-gen” patch, development of its New Mexico and New Vegas counterpart was also fraught with pitfalls. After three years of hard work, the project was at times on the brink of collapse, particularly due to the departure of its chief developer Zapshock. More fear than harm in the end, this hugely ambitious mod is visibly reborn from its ashes with the tantalizing trailer below.
As the name suggests, Fallout Nuevo México invites us to visit New Mexico, more precisely Mexico City, in the post-apocalyptic retro atmosphere typical of the license. The playing field is therefore likely to be even larger than the already generous London in this area. New massive open worlds to explore, new locations and fully hand-crafted enemies to discover – this is clearly one of the most ambitious mods ever seen in New Vegas, or even in a Fallout game at all.
While waiting for a New Vegas 2, Fallout 5, which is only hypothetical at the moment, or even the unofficial remake of the legendary second work in a new adaptation of Fallout 4, fans of the franchise should therefore keep an eye on this promising and, above all, free Nuevo Mexico. However, you still need to have a lot of patience before you can play it as no release date has been announced for it yet. In any case, we wish the volunteer developers behind this exciting project all the best!
