In the absence of Overcooked 3, Ghost Games introduced State Fright at the Game Awards. Something new that is likely to break up a few friendships with chaotic moments.
If you don't know Overcooked and are a PS Plus Extra subscriber, check it out, assuming you have colleagues to play with. In fact, the Ghost Town Games license is an experience that unfolds its full meaning in co-op mode, online or locally, although it is also possible to play it alone. The culinary action game, in which you have to cook dishes in a chaotic atmosphere, reaches its full potential with friends… whom you might lose along the way if you can't agree on each person's role. But it's also the arguments that give the franchise that certain something.
Stage Fright steals the spotlight from a hypothetical Overcooked 3
The Game Awards 2024 really lived up to its promise with announcements to suit every taste. Among the big names, the independents like Ghost Town Games were able to express themselves. Unfortunately, the studio wasn't there for Overcooked 3, but rather a new one that promises to be just as great on paper and just as messy. As with the license that pushed the developers forward, co-op is the key word here, as the title isn't even playable alone.
« Stage Fright is designed from the ground up to be a cooperative experience, full of chaotic overcooked moments and escape room-style collaboration. Play online or better yet side by side ». As the description suggests, Stage Fright is a type of co-op escape room set in a world full of mystery and even a little horror.
We have to lead Drew, Blake and Charlie on an adventure “Charming coming-of-age story with real heart and unforgettable characters. Switch between pairs of children to experience the story from two different perspectives ». Given the fun Overcooked offers, we're excited to find out more. Stage Fright doesn't have a release window, but you can Add it to your Steam wishlist.
