Treyarch has made unusual changes to Black Ops Cold War in the new update.
Treyarch released a small new patch for Black Ops Cold War Overnight to resolve some stability issues and bugs introduced in the major update of Season 3. But a special change in the patch confuses players.
After the update, even if you exit the game, multiplayer challenges, daily challenges and seasonal challenges can all track progress. In other words, players can now leave the multiplayer game immediately after completing any challenges they want to complete.
Usually, the “Call of Duty” challenge requires players to complete the game in order to calculate progress.Although it’s worth noting that this does not apply to the weapon unlock challenge (confirmed by Treyarch community manager Josh Torres), but the results of the decision are still mixed.
Many players on Reddit have expressed their concerns, saying that this will increase the rate at which players quit the game, which will almost always disrupt the game of teammates and give everyone a worse experience.
“Oh, that’s all we need-more players leave the game early. Yes, I got what I needed. Later teammates!”,” a Reddit user wrote.
“Imagine that in Nuketown, half of your team left after the camouflage,” another person sighed. “The number of people who have been asking you if you can leave the game after completing the challenge is incredible. You are the problem,” another added.
A player explained: “We don’t like players who leave the game and disrupt the game. Treyarch will provide players with more ammunition after completing the camouflage challenge at the end of the game and let them leave the game.”
Elsewhere in the update, Black Ops Cold War now displays a ping in the lobby docking screen so that players can ping it to the server before the game starts. You can view the complete change log on Treyarch’s blog.
