A page is turning at Nvidia, which has just made a radical decision for its RTX 3000 graphics cards.
The fact is that the RTX 4000 card generation is well built. However, RTX 3000 cards were still available from Nvidia via Founders versions. Better still, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition was back in stock just last week, to the delight of tech enthusiasts. But that was before.
Nvidia makes a cross on the past
In fact, since last night it is no longer possible to purchase an RTX 3080 Ti Founders card and it goes even further, since it is in fact the entire generation of RTX 3000 that has just disappeared from the site’s sale list. Therefore, to get an RTX 3000, there is only one solution: contact a partner manufacturer. On the pure and hard Nvidia design side, namely the Founders models, you can of course buy an RTX 4000, but it is more expensive.
A complete transition
So the transition to the RTX 4000 lineup is clear, and Nvidia has obviously just used up the end of its Gen 3000 stocks. Perfect timing knowing that the manufacturer will soon have to welcome its new RTX 4070s for the month of April (undetermined for now) and its RTX 4060 in the summer. For our part, we hope that the stocks of these cheaper models will be enough to meet the demand and that we are not sold out for the umpteenth time with a sharp price increase in the crotch.
