No sooner has a new Nvidia graphics card been released than rumors about the next upcoming model intensify. Even after the RTX 4070 Ti was released, there is no exception. So it is only logical that we are already learning new things about a Geforce RTX 4060 Ti – the new hottest topic in the rumor mill.
It starts immediately with the first speculations about the performance. Because the well-known hardware leaker Kopite7kimi
The first information about the RTX 4060 Ti
The leaker even provides the first data. The card will continue to use the PCIe Gen5 12VHPWR connector, as Nvidia wants to adopt this standard across its entire lineup. Furthermore, Kopite7kimi assumes the following specifications:
- AD106-305-A1 GPU
- 34 streaming multiprocessors
- 4352 Cuda Core
- 8 gigabytes of GDDR6 memory
- 18 Gbps
- 128 bit bus interface
- 288GB/s bandwidth
- 32 MB L2-Cache
- 160W TGP
The L2 cache would therefore be eight times larger than that of the direct predecessor, the RTX 3060 Ti. If the TGP specification is correct, it would be 20 percent lower in a direct comparison.
When asked directly whether the leaker could already provide initial information about the performance, he answered quite simply =RTX 3070

If he were right about that, the performance wouldn’t be particularly impressive. It is particularly sobering when you consider that the RTX 4070 Ti partially comes close to the performance of an RTX 3090 Ti.

The price will ultimately decide whether the RTX 4060 Ti will be a good graphics card. The RTX 4070 Ti has a recommended price of 900 dollars in this country. Nvidia could therefore price an RTX 4070 at around 700 dollars for the release, which makes an RTX 4060 Ti seem realistic for around 500 dollars.
That would mean it would cost about the same as the RTX 3070, which is rumored to have the same performance. So you would just get features like DLSS 3 that are exclusive to Ada Lovelace GPUs.
How much do you think the RTX 4060 Ti should cost at most to be interesting? And what performance should it bring for this price? Tell us what you think about it in the comments!
