news culture Obi-Wan Kenobi: 5 characters that could appear in the series
The series, centered around the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi, is only a few days away and speculation about the plot is rife. Another question that arises is which famous characters will appear in the series. Needless to say, we’re now used to Disney productions offering a few cameos. The JV editors take stock of the official announcements made by Obi-Wan Kenobi’s team.

Guaranteed cameos
The fact that there will be cameos is completely official and it’s Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor, who revealed this information. He said in a video interview for Hey U Guys that viewers can expect a slew of Easter eggs and “awesome cameos.” So theories have been popping up everywhere, but some have already been denied by director Deborah Chow. We’re talking about the character of Darth Maul, who many thought they would see again on the show. As a reminder, Deborah Chow clarified the situation by stating that the storyline between Obi-Wan and the Sith Lord had already been completed by Dave Filoni in the Star Wars Rebels series and there was therefore no point in that these two characters meet again.
In contrast, Deborah Chow said in an interview with Total Film that the series is very closely tied to the prequels. As a result, it is to be expected that the cameos would inevitably have to be characters from that period.
“One of the things I tried to do with this series was to have the characters that are important in Obi-Wan’s life while also incorporating new faces. So it will be a mixture of both. But I think there will be some surprises as well.” (Deborah Chow, director)
Qui Gon Jinn
It is most likely. It is impossible to deny the importance of Qui-Gon Jinn in our hero’s life. He trained Obi-Wan in the Jedi arts and made him promise to train Anakin in turn just before he died. At the end of Revenge of the Sith, Yoda Obi-Wan announces that it is possible to communicate with his former master’s spirit and that he will teach him how to do so. We can therefore easily imagine Qui-Gon Jinn advising his former padawan on Tatooine or during the perilous quest that will take him away from the desert planet. His interpreter, Liam Neeson, has repeatedly said he would like to reprise his role, but has indicated that he is not interested in the series format. It goes without saying that it’s in the interest of the series to keep its secrets to the end and not necessarily take even such denials at face value. Especially since Liam Neeson has already worked on the series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Satin Kryze
The Duchess of Mandalore is a lesser-known character unless you’re familiar with The Clone Wars series, but n onetheless important when it comes to Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Jedi Master had feelings for her and might even have left the Jedi Order for her. Satine Kryze dies in the fifth season of the animated series, but may appear in flashback form. Ewan McGregor, who plays Obi-Wan, revealed that his character would hit rock bottom as the series started, a broken and desperate man who has given up. It wouldn’t be surprising if we got a flashback session as the Jedi Master recalls the “mistakes” of his life, from the death of Qui-Gon to his duel with Anakin/Vador. In this context, we could see Satine Kryze performing. His sister Bo-Katan appeared in The Mandalorian (after appearing in Dave Filoni’s animated series), so why not her?
Padme Amidala
This would also be a flashback. Apparently, Obi-Wan Kenobi won’t be the only one struggling with a traumatic past. Hayden Christensen, aka Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, explained in an interview that his character is still haunted by his past. And one of the most important points is without a doubt the death of his wife Padmé Amidala. Especially since he was looking for a way to save her, fell to the dark side and betrayed the Jedi Order. We were therefore able to see a Vader haunted by memories and Padmé’s in particular.
palpatine
While his presence is far from essential to the series, it would be more logical to see Darth Sidious during the Empire era than suddenly resurrected, right? His interpreter, Ian McDiarmid, spoke about the return of Emperor Palpatine in an upcoming Star Wars series. He could not confirm if he would be seen, but his presence will be felt. So this suggests that this is a series whose action takes place under the rule of the Sith Emperor. But is it Obi-Wan Kenobi or Andor? That remains to be seen. In any case, his presence as an enemy of the Rebellion and instigator of the purge of the Jedi Order would not be out of place.
Bob Fett
The second trailer told us that Inquisitor Reva would send bounty hunters on Kenobi’s trail. Will we see some famous mercenaries? We’re thinking of Boba Fett, of course, but that would abuse the fan service site. The other reason might be that Disney wants to make a connection, no matter how small, between its creations. But there are many bounty hunters in this galaxy far, far away. Cad Bane, who appears in The Clone Wars and The Book of Boba Fett series, also comes to mind.
