Previously only playable on PC via various test phases, the free Battlefield counterpart Delta Force Hawk Ops is now finally revealing details about its upcoming release on consoles.
Delta Force Hawk Ops is expected eventually on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Android and iOS and is advancing at its own pace. For now, only PC has been able to benefit from it, notably through an alpha last August. However, Timi Studio finally announces a release window for the console versions of this free-to-play multiplayer FPS that wants to join the ranks of Battlefield.
Finally an ETA for Delta Force Hawk Ops on consoles
While waiting for news on Battlefield 7, fans of major military conflicts on PC were able to get a feel for it through several phases of alpha testing. With a single-player game inspired by the famous movie Black Hawk Down and a multiplayer game with 32v32 battles, the title has captivated its audience, who believe it is a better Battlefield 2042 than the very disappointing original game from Electronic Arts.
Timi Studio seems to want to put all the odds on its side in this sense, taking its time to gradually release Delta Force Hawk Ops on all the platforms it has in its sights. Hostilities should begin with a PC version, expected in Early Access in late 2024. Next will be the console versions, which would be released in the first quarter of 2025, with the added bonus of controller support on PC. This is what the studio announced in a Q&A session on the most recent alpha testing phase to date.
In addition to a release window for consoles, the team behind Delta Force Hawk Ops has made other announcements. A kill cam functionality would therefore be in development, as well as variants for different game modes and maps, such as a night version in Hazard Ops Extraction mode, so that for a clearer view the use of night vision goggles would be necessary. Slowly but surely, the title wants to earn its title as a free rival to Battlefield. See you soon on PC to have an answer to such ambitions.
