The developers of Once Human, the currently popular survival game, have publicly addressed some of the game’s biggest issues. These include character-specific cosmetics, which the company says will transition to account-wide cosmetics, and seasonal reset issues.
The lengthy statement, posted on social media, covers the entire process and planned restoration. The public statement, filled with gratitude from the community, reads:

“Thank you so much for taking the time to discuss with us and provide detailed feedback on Once Human’s gameplay. We understand Metas’ concerns about mandatory seasonal resets and how they impact your sense of progression and attachment to your character.”
“We also realize that having cosmetics tied to a single character can be frustrating. We plan to make all purchased cosmetics usable across multiple characters on the same account by August. If you have already purchased the same cosmetic item on different characters on the same account, we will refund the spent Crystgin or other in-game currency for additional purchases once the cosmetics have covered the entire account.”
“To all Metas, not just Pirate Software (an influencer who spoke to the developer before making this statement), if you have any comments or feedback about Once Human, please leave a note in the comments section or on our official Discord. We will review every piece of feedback carefully. As we mentioned in our Dev Stream, if Metas have any concerns, confusion, or uncertainty, we will respond immediately.”
“Thank you again for your support and love for Once Human. We look forward to your company to make Once Human better!”
It’s great to see this so early in the game’s lifecycle, even if one would have hoped these issues wouldn’t exist in the first place. Especially refunding the Crystgin spent on these items would go a long way in winning back players who have already spent huge amounts of money in the game. All in all, it’s a great sign for the future and a perfect case study in how to handle critical community feedback.
