Almost two years after its release, the Xbox Series X | S in trouble over a feature that is nonetheless very useful and appreciated by the community. Microsoft announces that it is considering a solution.
With the Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft has implemented an option that is very popular with gamers: the Quick Resume. But now the functionality is completely unstable on some titles.
Can Quick Resume be Disabled on Xbox Series?
Quick Resume is an Xbox Series X|S exclusive feature that allows you to start and switch between multiple games. Without having to close an application and lose unsaved progress. Even if you turn off the console, you’ll pick up right where you left off. Depending on your weight, you can have between 5 and 7 games open at the same time. Additionally, since a February 2022 update, it’s possible to keep two titles in memory regardless of other things running.
There is nothing to report for single player games, but things are going poorly for multiplayer productions. Which regrets a gamer who wants the Quick Resume disabled on the Xbox Series.
I still don’t understand why this feature can’t be disabled. It’s great for a lot of games, but if you try to quickly restart a multiplayer game it breaks everything. You then have to leave the title manually. If only there was an option to disable it on these games!
It is possible ? The future will tell, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer will return to his teams.
It’s a legitimate request that makes sense. We will put it on the list of things to study.
