Gigantic add-on Factorio: Space Age pushes boundaries
Genre: Building game | developer: Build Software | Release: 21 October (Steam)
Factorio: Space Age continues the story of Factorio where it ended in the base game – after the launch of the first rocket into space. This expansion brings a whole new dimension to the game by allowing you to build interplanetary factories and explore new worlds.
You travel to different planets, each of which offers unique resources and challenges. These raw materials are crucial to developing advanced technologies and driving game progression.
One of the most important innovations of the expansion are the space platforms: These orbital factories serve not only for research, but also as hubs for automated transport between planets.
Each planet presents you with specific challenges, whether it’s surviving in a volcanic environment or defending yourself against giant native creatures that want to destroy your factories.
In addition to the new gameplay in the expansion, Factorio will also receive comprehensive improvements for all players of the main game with Update 2.0, such as improved train controls and new building options.
