It may be hard to believe, but Warhammer: Vermintide 2, which launched back in 2018, is still receiving updates all these years later. Recently, the game's long-developed Versus PvP mode finally launched, allowing players to fight each other for the first time.
It's not over yet, developer Fatshark is continuing to develop the game and is promising more updates in December and beyond. The best part? Vermintide 2 is currently on sale for a silly price, which should put it in the hands of those who haven't tried it yet.

As of November 26, the base version of Vermintide 2 is 95% off on Steam. The older version, which includes most of the game's additional content, is on sale at a 76% discount. Finally, the Super Content Bundle includes all DLC and gives you a 71% discount. Of course, all bundles also include a copy of the game, but you do get a discount if you already own it.
Vermintide 2 is widely regarded as one of the best first-person melee games and one of the most rewarding cooperative games. The four-player action game features high replayability, unique classes to choose from, and continues to attract the attention of a large number of players on Steam and elsewhere.
Although it's a bit old, now might actually be a good time to jump into Vermintide 2. The just-released 6.0 patch specifically redesigns the game's progression system to accommodate new players. There's also a new manual feature that explains many of the basic mechanics so that anyone new to (anti-)rat racing can get up to speed quickly.
Of course, Vermintide 2 can be played solo with bots, and while you might not be able to complete its challenging missions, you'll at least enjoy its best melee combat. You can also stick to a lower difficulty if you want to avoid dealing with other people.
