If you’re a fan of sandbox mining and crafting games, then you’ve probably heard of Core Keeper. You might have even played it when it came into Steam Early Access over two years ago. Regardless, this beloved, heartwarming cave exploration game is about to reach a major milestone.
Core Keeper will eventually move out of Steam Early Access and will be released alongside Xbox and Game Pass.

Developed by Pugstorm, Core Keeper will exit Steam Early Access on August 27. On the same day, it will be available on the Microsoft Store for PC and on Xbox Series X/S consoles.
The game has sold over 2 million copies since its release in March 2022. If you’re not one of those players yet, you’ll be happy to know that on August 27 it will also join the Game Pass lineup for PC, consoles, and the cloud.
Core Keeper is a clever blend of crafting, base building, exploration, and combat. It’s been well-received both on Steam (very positive user reviews) and elsewhere. It’s received a number of major updates since its initial release, and has expanded in several different ways. You can play it solo, but it thrives when teaming up with a friend – which is perfect for Game Pass.
If any of this sounds like something you’d like, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam or keep an eye on the Game Pass homepage to download it as soon as it’s released.
