Rust is without a doubt one of the most successful survival games on Steam. It’s already celebrating its tenth anniversary and yet the developers at Facepunch Studios aren’t even thinking about stopping further development. As a result, they have one Roadmap for 2024 released and one thing should be said, the game will be much more comfortable at the beginning of the year.
The roadmap for 2024 at a glance
The first update of the roadmap should be on February 1, 2024 appear
But of course that’s not all. Here you can see other announced innovations that are planned for 2024, but do not yet have an exact release date:
- motorcycles
- New and revised monuments
- Revised tutorial
- New weapons
- More unique buildable areas (e.g. canyons and lakes)
- Redesigned user interface (UI) for server lists
If you need a little variety every now and then, the car survival game Pacific Drive could be something for you. It is scheduled to release on February 22nd for PC and PS5. You can see the trailer here:

Probably the most innovative survival game in a long time finally reveals its release in the trailer
Further plans for the future
The developers also note that other little things are planned for this year, which, however, are still secret. Beyond 2024, the aim is to revise the ports so that transport ships, for example, can dock there. The tactical advantage of buildings built in water will also be reduced in the future. Performance is also being improved. However, this is an ongoing process and therefore happens step by step.
But there is also bad news: As some already know, we have been working on introducing pets for several months, but this was put on hold some time ago. Nothing will change in that regard and a release in 2024 is ruled out.
However, the developers note that they are not losing sight of the project and it may see the light of day at a later date. You can find more interesting articles about other survival games here:
