What is RuneQuest actually?
RuneQuest has been around for ages. The first edition of the pen and paper game was published in 1978, and the second edition in 1979, and quickly developed into the biggest competitors for Dungeons & DragonsIn terms of content, however, the two systems don’t really get in each other’s way: RuneQuest offers a fantasy scenario with its Glorantha that plays to its own strengths, quite far removed from the classic Tolkien school.

Glorantha does not take you to the classic fantasy Middle Ages, but to the Bronze Agesees itself more as the heir to old sword-and-sorcery films or film legends like Jason and the Argonauts
.
RuneQuest also offers an immense Focus on mythologieswhich draw on various role models, but also incorporate their own ideas for goddesses and gods. Magic also plays a large, almost everyday role.
