Everyone, welcome to January 2025. As the new year begins, Sony is updating its PlayStation Plus game lineup at all levels every month. We'll have our first game out in 2025, and the three core games are (mostly) pretty good.
All games will be available starting Tuesday, January 7th for Premium, Extra and Essential games. You have until January 6th to claim your December lot.

January's PS Plus lineup includes Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, The Stanley Parable: Super Deluxe Edition, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. Suicide Squad is, of course, the most high-profile of the lot, arriving on the service less than a month after its release.
Most agreed that paying for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League last February was a terrible way to kick off 2024. It's a bit puzzling why Sony thought it would be a good idea to kick off 2025 like this, but there you have it. As a current-gen-only release, Suicide Squad is only available on PS5.
Things only got better from there, and boy did they. The exciting, narrative-driven adventure game The Stanley Parable: Super Deluxe Edition is available to play on PS4 and/or PS5. “Ultra Deluxe” is part sequel, part remake, and part exercise in creative frustration. This is one of the best games of 2022, and certainly the best in the lineup.
Finally, to make the game more casual and less intellectually stimulating, we’ve released a PS4 version of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered (which can also be played on PS5), allowing you to experience the emotional rollercoaster of the other two games Relax for a while afterwards. This is a remake of 2010's Criterion Games Hot Pursuit, not the 1998 classic. This is a Criterion racing game, so you can count on satisfying arcade racing controls, a huge sense of speed, a variety of activities to engage in, and a killer soundtrack.
