While a second DLC was recently made available for one of Ubisoft's latest games, this one takes the opportunity to finally be optimized for PS5 Pro.
Coinciding with the release of the recently delayed Secrets of the Spire DLC, Ubisoft Massive has released a proper PS5 Pro patch for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. The already beautiful title should show its most dazzling colors on Sony's latest console. At least if these optimization efforts go smoothly, like other titles with the famous “Enhanced” label.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is finally spreading its wings on PS5 Pro
As part of the Avatar Frontiers of Pandora update 1.2, Ubisoft Massive is making a doubly important addition. For all platforms there is of course the Secrets of the Spire DLC, which adds a whole new region to explore with new biomes. This comes with a series of quests that continue the main story. This makes the update particularly extensive: around 18 GB on consoles and 24 GB on the PC. The other big part of this patch is of course optimizing the game on PS5 Pro.
On this point, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora particularly welcomes a remarkable quality mode with 60 FPS or even an increased internal resolution. This means that the title on the PS5 Pro can achieve higher rendering and frames per second resolutions depending on the situation. Finally, Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws predecessor receives massive support for PSSR, the machine learning upscaling technology exclusive to the PS5 Pro. This also improves the overall quality and performance of the game.
However, it remains to be seen how Avatar Frontiers of Pandora takes on this famous PS5 Pro patch. Keep in mind that other titles have serious difficulties running properly on the computer. In this section we can mention Alan Wake 2, Star Wars Jedi Survivor or even Silent Hill 2 Remake (in this case with the radical measure of deactivating the PSSR to resolve the situation as much as possible). However, these three titles appeared in the list of games that Sony announced as optimized for the PS5 Pro in advance of the release.
