After 25 years of its existence as a manga and anime, One Piece has the rights to a live-action adaptation. The series was originally scheduled to run for ten episodes, but the season has been shortened to eight chapters, as confirmed by manga author Eiichiro Oda. The live-action will be adapted from Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga. The first eight episodes will therefore trace the beginning of the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy who wants to be the pirate king.
