Contrary to what we might have initially thought, Kozuki Oden spent much of his life as a pirate in the Whitebeard band, thanks to which he knew what was beyond Wano, his wife, Toki and also had his two children. Oden eventually became a much-loved member of the ex-Yonkou's family despite what it cost him to enter at first. So much so that all his colleagues wanted to participate in the baptism of his firstborn: Momonosuke.
In one of the last chapters of the manga (where we saw Edward Newgate's first contact with Blackbeard), all crew members attend the birth of Oden's first son, which had started a relationship with Toki few chapters before. The two traveled with Whitebeard and during this adventure he conceived what is now one of Wano's hopes. The moment was lived with great joy, so much that all the pirates of the band wanted to participate when naming the newborn. But Oden did not trust the criteria of his friends and decided on his own that the name of his little boy would be Momonosuke.
