One Piece fans still have to be patient
Bad news for fans One piece ! While l’Arc Egghead is dangerously approaching its end and that with the arrival of more and more is at stake Five deans In their Zoan forms, readers must be patient before they can learn the outcome of the story. In fact, even if Chapter 1111 is released on March 24, 2024 in the next issue of Shonen JumpUnfortunately, the manga will be break for the next three weeks
And as if these three long weeks weren’t enough, after the release of Chapter 1112 comes another break because it is golden week in Japan a period with 4 public holidays spread over 7 days. So we have to be patient to find out what will happen Luffy and his companions on Egg Head Island, which can be very frustrating, especially given the dose of adrenaline injected in each chapter of this arc. The tension is growing and will soon reach its climax. So why take a break now?
Eiichiro Oda has his reasons
No official reason was given for the three-week break, but some theories hold up pretty well. The first would relate to the series Netflixbecause according to the statements of Mackenzie Maeda (the interpreter of Roronoa Zoro in live action) Bandai Card Games Fest Finale Production on the second season could begin very soon in early March. But a completely different hypothesis seems all the more logical given recent events in the manga world…
In case you didn’t know, Eiichiro Odathe author of One pieceHe was a close friend of Akira Toriyamathe creator of Dragon Ball. The latter recently died as a result of cancer Oda commented on this issue in a press release published on the same day on the Shonen Jump website :
It’s too early.
A huge hole is tearing my heart apart. I sink into sadness every time I think I’ll never see him again.
I’ve admired him since I was a child and I still remember the day he first called me by my name. I remember the day I came home and he called Kishimoto-san and me “friends.” I also remember our last conversation.
He replaced an era where reading manga was considered a pointless waste of time and created an era where adults and children could read and enjoy manga. He showed us that manga can be exported all over the world. He looked like a hero moving forward with determination.
Its impact wasn’t just limited to the manga industry, but also to creators in other industries who were arguably influenced by Dragon Ball as children. Its nature is comparable to a large tree with branches reaching towards the sky.
For mangakas of our generation, being on the same stage as Toriyama and witnessing the success of his work gave us a glimpse into the impact he left on the industry. It was intimidating, but the man behind it was such a relaxed person. I was so happy to know him. And I think we all loved Toriyama-sensei like he was part of our family.
I would like to express all my respect and gratitude for the creative world that Toriyama-sensei leaves behind, and I pray from the bottom of my heart that he rests in peace.
I hope heaven is as pleasant as you imagined in your manga, sensei.
As you can see, Oda was very close Toriyama, it could not be ruled out that he would need a few weeks of rest to recover from his death and, above all, to rest. In any case, we sincerely hope so Eiichiro Oda will come back to us by April in great shape and with ideas in mind!
