One Starfield fan apparently spent about 200 hours piecing together the game’s entire skill tree.
There is a commitment and then there is a commitment. For one fan, the second version took a lot of time to sort out all the skills they thought could be unlocked in Starfield, based on what we’ve seen in footage and trailers released so far (thanks GamesRadar). But as anyone who has taken a math test knows, you can’t just get an answer, you have to show your work. That’s exactly what this user did, producing a 44-page long document detailing each skill, what they do at different levels, and more.
After almost 200 hours of research, this is the full skill system used in Starfield (speculation)

On top of that, they compiled a huge image list showing all the different screenshots and trailers they pulled from to make the skill list documentation. That’s definitely more research and time than I’ve spent on anything in my life, so even if you haven’t delved into the achievement, it’s still worth a quick glance so you can say “damn, that’s a lot of research.”
Based on what users have discovered, there should be four levels for each of the five levels, starting with Novice and moving on to Advanced, Expert, and finally Master. Apparently, you still need 16 skill points to get to the end of the master level.
If you do dig into that much research, users will be looking for ways to prove them wrong. But it didn’t take long to find out if the documentation was wrong, as the game took just over a month to launch, launching on September 6th.
Lots of research isn’t the only thing fans do while they wait for the game, as some have even started building their own ships.
