OnexPlayer Mini: description and features
OnexPlayer, a Chinese portable console specialist for several years, released OnexPlayer mini in May 2022. As the name suggests, this is the reduced version of the base model.

We find in this OnexPlayer mini all the components of a real PC. An AMD Ryzen 5800U processor (8 cores / 16 threads for a frequency of up to 4.4 GHz) coupled with an AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics PC and 16 GB DDR4 RAM. There is also an “Intel” version of the Onexplayer mini, consisting of an Intel Core i7-1195G7 and an Iris Xe graphics chip.
As with most portable consoles in this segment, internal storage varies by version, which also drives up the bill. It is available in three different storage capacities: 512 Go ($1259), 1 To ($1399) and 2 To ($1599). The internal storage is of course an NVMe SSD.
Unfortunately, the memory cannot be expanded due to the lack of a micro SD card slot.
In terms of ergonomics, it features two Xbox-style asymmetrical analog sticks, along with a directional cross. But also on the left edge of the 7-inch screen is a button to toggle from pointer stick controls to on-screen touch controls.
A console that makes (almost) everything work
The great feature of the OnexPlayer mini that differentiates it from other portable consoles is the Preinstall Windows 11so you can play a wide range of games.
Thanks to the Ryzen 5 5800U and the Radeon RX Vega, the OnexPlayer mini promises to be able to run current games without too many problems as long as the graphics quality of the games is sacrificed. It will be necessary get by with 30 FPS for headlines.
