The successor to the role-playing game is already in the final phase of its development is scheduled to be released on February 11, 2025. Especially since the story of the second part follows directly on from the end of the predecessor.

As mentioned, Kingdom Come is a role-playing game set in the Middle Ages. No dragons, no magic or anything like that. The team tried to make the world seem authentic and created a medieval setting in which history fans should feel very comfortable.
Of course, this doesn’t make KCD a real depiction of the Middle Ages, but it is a damn entertaining version of it, backed up with lots of real insights into this time and historical events.
In Kingdom Come you embody the blacksmith’s son Heinrich on a quest for revenge.
KCD is unique in this quality, especially when it comes to the look and liveliness of its world. Even fans of Gothic, for example, could lose their hearts to this role-playing game. The close combat, however, is controversial. If you want to assert yourself with an ax and sword, you have to take the first-person view of the complex battles bring some resistance to frustration.
The story, on the other hand, is impressive, especially because it is relatively grounded and you, as the blacksmith’s son Heinrich, never really get the feeling that you are the baddest guy north of the Danube. Most of the time you’re just some guy in the Middle Ages.
The successor also seems to be a very unusual role-playing game. We were able to play here several times ourselves and were extremely impressed by it. Especially since the scale is a bit bigger here and, unlike in the first part, we can visit a really big city that reacts surprisingly dynamically to our behavior.
Whether Kingdom Come 2 really lives up to these advance praises will be seen in February. Above all, we hope that the technology doesn’t thwart the team’s plans again.
