Diablo 4 max level is 100. If you play the game normally, with a mix of story and side quests, you’ll probably finish the main campaign around 40-45, which means your character has more levels to achieve.
So how many people actually made it to level 100? according to blizzardso far only 6,263.
Reaching level 100 is an important milestone for a number of reasons. First, after you hit level 50, the rate of leveling slows down considerably. The halfway point is when you unlock the Paragon Board, which basically means you’ll spend the rest of the journey building, crafting, and refining, since most of the focus on unlocking is over.
Still, 6,263 seems a bit small for Blizzard’s fastest-selling game of all time, and one that (probably) sold in the millions. The number of people who reached level 100 in Hardcore mode (the game’s permadeath mode) was much smaller: 163 players. That’s why the race to reach level 100 in Hardcore is a big moment.
Of course, the game will only be available to the public on June 1 (if you bought the more expensive version) and June 6. No matter how many power balance methods you follow, there just isn’t enough time for a player with work/family and other commitments.
Real-world obligations aside, there’s a growing feeling in the community that Diablo IV gets too boring after level 50. There are also concerns that when the season starts, it may take a long time for players to reach a higher level before they can start the game. Exciting.
We’ll find out if Blizzard makes any changes to the upgrade curve when the first season goes live sometime in mid to late July.
In other news, Diablo 4 has grossed over $666 million to date.
