Following a leak on the PlayStation Direct Store (which has since been taken down), a PS5 remake of The Last of Us has been confirmed – dubbed The Last of Us Part 1.Eager fans may soon be able to pre-order the game in preparation for its official release September 2.

Rumors of a remake have been circulating for months. Earlier today, ResetEra user Modiz posted a link to the PlayStation Direct Store, which appears to be live ahead of schedule.

Both versions of The Last Of Us’ PS5 remake will include the Left Behind DLC.

The listing reads: “Experience Joel and Ellie’s emotional story and unforgettable characters from The Last of Us, winner of over 200 Game of the Year awards, now reimagined for PlayStation 5” and accurately describes How this already great game has been mastered even further.

“Enjoy a complete overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options. Plus, immerse yourself in improved effects and enhanced exploration and combat,” the listing continued.

The Last of Us Part 1 will include the game’s entire single-player story, as well as its prequel chapter, Left behind. Additionally, the game will be sold in both the Standard Edition and Firefly Edition, with the Standard Edition priced at $70. Both versions will include the Left Behind DLC.

As for those of us waiting for the remake to hit PC, we’ll have to wait a little longer. At the end of the trailer for the store listing, a PS5 release date is revealed, and it also confirms that the PC version is still in development for now.

The Summer Games Festival is just around the corner, with the main show kicking off today at 11am PST/2pm EST/7pm BST, with more exciting announcements expected.
