In an interview with the US magazine Parade Jamie actor Sam Heughan now revealed that “Outlander” in Season 6 maybe even more liberties and using storylines from later books.
(…) I would say that since we have so much history and time travel and all that, we can use any book. So it could be not just Book Seven, but other books as well that we are referring to.

Heughan admits that he has not read all of the scripts, but confirms with his testimony that season 6 will definitely contain content from book 7, “Echo of Hope”. So the 6th season should have some surprises in store for Roman connoisseurs too. If only it didn’t take that long now …
