“Outlander” continues in March. The longest trailer that has been released to date now also gets you in the mood for the upcoming 6th season of the romantic time travel series about Jamie Fraser and his Claire. The US broadcaster Starz released the approximately 2-minute video today.

Several big developments for the upcoming season 6 of “Outlander” appear in the clip above. On the one hand there is the American War of Independence, which the time traveler Claire (Caitríona Balfe) of course already knows about. In the video, British soldiers are now standing in front of Fraser’s Ridge – which the former rebel leader Jamie (Sam Heughan) in particular should not like at all.
At the end of the previous, 5th “Outlander” season, main character Claire was brutally raped. In the coming episodes she will now heal and can count on her Jamie. Because he explains in the video: “You helped bring me back from the darkness.” This sentence is of course alluding to Jamie’s own traumatic rape experience in the very first “Outlander” season. Like Claire back then, Jamie will now support his wife.
Faces old and new heralding doom
Claire’s rapist Lionel Brown (Ned Dennehy) paid with his life for his horrific act. But his brother Richard (Chris Larkin) swore revenge – and can now be seen in the trailer pointing his gun at someone.

Readers of the original book also know about the disaster that the Christie family will wreak on Fraser’s Ridge. Newcomer Tom Christie (Mark Lewis Jones) can now also be seen in the video. Jamie explains to him that “his word on Fraser’s Ridge is the law”. If you don’t mind spoilers, check out this link for the upcoming story.
Meanwhile, Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Bree (Sophie Skelton), and her husband, Roger (Richard Rankin), continue to question whether they should stay in the past — or return to their time — in the Outlander season 6 video. Finally, at the end of the previous 5th season, they attempted time travel, but remained in the past.
Outlander Season 6 will premiere on March 6, 2022 in the US on Starz.
