“Outlander” season 7 has finished filming. Now it won’t be long before we can experience new adventures with Jamie and Claire in the USA in the extra long season.
- The seventh and penultimate season of the successful time travel series “Outlander” awaits us in summer 2023.
- In the new episodes, Claire and Jamie find themselves caught between the fronts of the American Revolution.
- The shooting of the 16-episode season has now been completed
It’s done, the penultimate season of “Outlander” is in the can. Nothing stands in the way of the release of season 7 in summer 2023! This is announced by the official account for the series via Instagram.
In the happy posting, the actors and actresses of the successful time travel series are literally beaming and seem to have said goodbye to the set of “Outlander” in the best weather.
With a “Summer will be here before you know it.” the series makers also tease the upcoming start of the new episodes in summer 2023. Not unknown information, but it still makes you happy, after all, it’s been over a year since season 6.
After the 6th season had to appear very short due to the corona pandemic, the series creators and the streaming service Starz splashed out and produced an extra-long 7th season. It was therefore foreseeable that the shooting of 16 episodes would take longer.
The fact that you can obviously stick to the release of the new episodes in summer 2023 is all the nicer.
Outlander Season 7 will be based on Diana Gabaldon’s Highland saga Echo of Hope, book seven. In this novel, Claire and Jamie find themselves in the midst of the American Revolution while Brianna and her family live in Lallybroch in the 1970s. But soon the past catches up with them.
Shortly before the end of the series, things get really exciting again. Because as Starz announced in January 2023, “Outlander” will end with an 8th season. Until then, let’s enjoy season 7 in the summer.
