Outriders has recently been moved from summer to fall 2020, mostly because the game is now set to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Yesterday evening, the bulletstorm makers have announced a number of further details about the alleged action hit. Various sub-areas are taken up and explained in more detail in individual videos; in addition, there is now a first gameplay demo on the web.
As can already be seen from the clips below, People Can Fly – as in Bulletstorm – is again taking a rather brutal approach to the new Sci-Fi IP. "We just wanted to tell an adult story," said Szymon Barchan, the lead narrative designer, explaining this step.
This brutal approach to play is simply "in our DNA", Rafal Pawlowski adds in an interview. "Many of us love role-playing games. It was our goal to make a game that merges these two genres: shooter and RPG."
In the following video clips and in the gameplay demo you can collect further impressions of different game areas and the rather dark sci-fi universe of the co-op RPG shooter.
