A few hours after the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, one of the announcements surrounding Overwatch 2 would have been revealed in advance. And the least we can say is that it’s surprising.
The Xbox conference is fast approaching. Should Bethesda take the spotlight, the other publisher Microsoft bought could be entitled to its share of announcements. Activision Blizzard is supposed to be discussed again tonight or next week with Overwatch 2.
Play Overwatch 2 for free?
It was “The Snitch” once again that spilled the beans. In a message with the bike of the game’s hero team, theinsider announces that Overwatch 2 will be free to play. Given that he’s leaked the entire state of affairs and The Last of Us Remake release date, the condition is almost out of order, but you can never be too cautious. If the tweet could relate to the first game, his recent likes leave no doubt: his message speaks well for the second work.
For more details, and most importantly confirmation, you’ll have to wait until the Xbox Summer Game Fest 2022 conference at the earliest, which takes place at 7pm tonight. Otherwise, Overwatch 2 will have its own dedicated stream on June 16 at an undetermined date. Will this business model change only affect the multiplayer component? His predecessor too? See you in the following hours or days to find out more.
