The Pink Mercy skin is considered one of the rarest and most coveted skins in the entire history of Overwatch. It has been unavailable since 2016 and accounts that secured the skin then subsequently changed hands for thousands of dollars. Now, however, Mercy fans are getting a second chance for a much more reasonable price.
In-game purchases are (mostly rightly) controversial, but there are exceptions that can be seen as a good thing. For example, Blizzard has been working with aid organizations for years and selling items to its players, with all profits being donated to the organization.
In 2018, the Californians started a collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and offered a pink and silver skin for Dr. Angela Ziegler, better known as the healer hero Mercy. At the time, it was one of the few skins that could not be drawn randomly from loot boxes, but had to be bought directly for money.
Not only is Blizzard bringing back the original pink skin, but they are also offering a revised rose gold model as an alternative. As is typical for Overwatch, this is only a slightly different color scheme for the old skin, but at least the silver ornaments have now turned gold and that’s something.
While you can buy the original skin individually, Rose Gold is only available in a bundle with some sprays, name cards and player icons.

The Pink Mercy skin is available from June 25th to July 8th in the Overwatch 2 in-game shop for 15 dollars. The package for the rose gold skin is available during the same period and costs 20 dollars. All profits (minus tax and fees) will again go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
