Overwatch 2 Seems to have encountered a bug that made Lucio players wearing certain skins easier to spot.
As spotted by Reddit user FidgetSpinnetMan, Lucio’s snow fox skin is going to cause some problems for Lucio players anyway (thanks to PCGamesN). This particular skin has an icy effect that FidgetSpinnetMan has found that currently appears to be visible through walls, even when there is a large distance between the two players.
“Bug report: I was playing the game and I noticed the enemy Lucio was visible through the wall,” FidgetSpinnetMan wrote in a post on the Overwatch subreddit. “He’s using the Snow Fox skin, the weapon is emitting smoke and seems to be able to see through the walls. Don’t use that skin as it always puts you at a disadvantage.”
In a game like Overwatch 2 that obviously requires a lot of strategy, it’s very inconvenient to have a signifier that lets your enemies basically know where you are at all times. It’s especially unhelpful when Lucio is a healer, a very important role. Skins are not available now, at least the problem won’t increase, but people who have used skins may want to put them on hold for now.
It’s the latest in a series of problems with the pseudo-sequel. Due to some issues with the skill pack, both Bastion and Torbjörn had to be temporarily removed, although they are both back now. Blizzard also introduced a controversial system that required players to add their phone number to play the game, which has since been removed, but only for those who played the first game. The total cost of all Overwatch 1 cosmetic items will cost players $12,000.
It’s safe to say that the current state of the game isn’t ideal, but remember to have sympathy for the developers who are currently working to fix things.
