Coming December 6th, the next season of Overwatch 2 is both exciting and festive, with plenty of new content for players to experience.
While it was revealed during the Overwatch League Grand Finals that the new tank Ramattra will be added to the game, players also have new Mythic skins, maps, and various returning holiday events to try.
Overwatch 2’s latest battle pass dives deep into the mythology with a brand new gameplay trailer, and the next mythic skin will be Queen Zeus Junker. There are plenty of other skins to consider finishing the Battle Pass or spending money on, such as Cyclops Roadhog, Medusa Widowmaker, Minotaur Reinhardt, and more.
In addition, festive events such as Winter Wonderland and Spring Festival are also expected to return to the game. After that, there will also be a brand new mode called “Battle of Olympus,” which is also based on the mythic theme of this season of Overwatch 2.
This event will start from January 9th to January 19th, although there are no real indications of how exactly th is model will work. Given the trailer, all we know is that we’re likely to expect enemies to rain down on us with lightning.
Last but not least, let’s not forget that Overwatch 2 players will have a new map to roam around; Shambali. Home to Ramattra and Zenyatta, this map is set in the Himlayan peaks, and it’s undeniably home to some beautiful buildings; my grappling-hook self might go back to the game’s building types.
That’s all for Overwatch 2’s latest release. What do you think of Season 2? Is it getting better, or do you think Overwatch 2 has a long way to go?
