Anyone who is longingly waiting for fresh information about the sequel Overwatch 2 will be answered shortly: Blizzard Entertainment has announced a stream with a full dose of fresh gameplay.

The action sequel Overwatch 2 had been quiet for a long time, but that should change soon. Most recently, the game attracted attention due to the fact that Director Jeff Kaplan left Blizzard after many years. In replaces Aaron Keller, who has now announced a livestream as the new director of the title in a new development update and has thus made his first major announcement.

In the coming week we should finally be able to take a more detailed look at the long-awaited sequel. For May 20, 2021, Blizzard has announced a longer stream in which they want to devote themselves to the PvP mode of the title. Previously, the main focus was on the co-op and story topics in Overwatch 2.

Together with the teams of the Overwatch League as well as lead designer Geoff Goodman, art director Dion Rogers and other members of the development team, various new cards will be shown and changes to the first part will be discussed. Everything that will be shown, however, is still in development and will be refined or can change, according to Keller.

We cannot expect a release date for the stream, which will be followed by a more detailed question and answer session on May 24th. At least we have been able to take a look at the title for a long time. In the coming weeks and months, additional information and details will be revealed as part of further updates.
