In the old days when Overwatch was first, players were free to enter the game by selecting a hero and then restrictions were imposed over time. The 2-2-2 format, consisting of two support heroes, two heroes of the DPS type and two tanks per team, has appeared. Game Director Aaron Keller admitted while livestreaming the PvP portion of Overwatch 2 that this second work will highlight that second suggestion.

With Overwatch 2, the games only offer 5v5, which means that the teams are being reduced and the structure of the latter is different. The teams must therefore select two support heroes, two DPS heroes, and a single tank. With this brand new format, says Aaron Keller, the games will change dramatically, especially in the high-level games.

That’s not all, the first part of the livestream also focused on the New York map. A brand new card that offers three key points in particular. The latter can be seen in the picture below!

Overwatch 2 has no release date yet. However, we already know it will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Also note that Overwatch first of the name and Overwatch 2 are closely related. It is therefore very likely that the new rules mentioned above will also end up in the first episode.
