Blizzard has promised more frequent updates to Overwatch in the coming year, and the studio also plans to launch experimental cards and a pool of heroes.

All of them are outlined in the latest article Overwatch Developer video from game director Jeff Kaplan.

First, the hero pool will enter a competitive state at the beginning of season 21. How it works, instead of banning a particular hero in a match, but deactivating one hero per week. Kaplan and his team believe this will help diversify the game, and the heroes banned this week will be chosen by the developers (thanks Polygon).

Another change to the game is the experimental card, which will allow the development team to test the upcoming changes and balance in the game. Experimental features allow all players (whether on PC or not) to try any changes that are coming. It works similar to the current PTR.

If you play Overwatch, you will definitely want to update your watch for developers.

The Lunar New Year 2020 is still ongoing and, as usual, new rewards are available. The event will end on February 6.
