Every year, Blizzard Entertainment also celebrates the Christmas break in Overwatch with a corresponding winter event. Even in 2020 pictures despite Corona there is no exception.
With the onset of winter and the quieter time – all the more since we are now in lockdown again in Germany – players from Overwatch on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch can look forward to the correspond ing event Winter Wonderland again. This has now started and will offer you completely new rewards in 2020. The promotional period runs until January 5, 2021.
What exactly is there for you in the winter wonderland 2020? First of all, there is a new 4-vs-4 brawl for you with the Freeze Thaw Elimination. In this new game mode, each team tries to freeze all opposing team members and thus achieve victory. Heroes who would normally die are only frozen here and can therefore be thawed again by their team members.
In addition to the mode, the weekly challenges also return. Whoever wins nine games can secure time-limited rewards in the form of player icons, sprays and epic skins. The following epic skins are available in the individual weeks
- Week 1: Junkrat Elf Skin (Epic)
- Week 2: Ana-Skin gingerbread (epic)
- Week 3: Frosty Roadhog Skin (Epic)
And last but not least, the in-game event has the following cosmetic extras ready for you:
- 5 legendary skins
- Platoon leader for Reinhardt
- Penguin for Mei
- Ice queen for Moira
- Toy robots for Zenyatta
- Lumberjack for Torbjörn
- 3 epic skins
- Player icons, sprays
As every year, the Winter Wilderness event has started again in Overwatch.
