Got your hands on an egg in Palworld but don’t know how to hatch the egg or how to get an incubator? In this article, we’ll give you all the information you need to know to complete the entire process of hatching eggs, from collecting them in the wild to breeding them on a ranch. You will also learn interesting facts about building an incubator!
Summary
- How do I get eggs in Palworld?
- Ranch, reproduction… How do you produce your own eggs?
- How do you get an incubator to hatch eggs?
As with Pokémon or Temtem, it is also possible to hatch eggs in Palworld. Eggs have several elements related to those of Pals : Fire, Ice, Grass, Electricity, Dark, Dragon, Normal, etc.
Only these eggs differ from those of the Chikipi. Although Chikipi produce eggs that can give you a Chikipi once hatched, they do not give other Pals and are primarily useful for cooking. So how do you get eggs to discover new friends?
Well, do you know that there are three methods to get Pals Eggs:
- In nests found in the wildespecially at altitude, on cliffs, old infrastructure or even mountains
- In the chests which require a silver or gold key (the keys are dropped by the Leezpunk, so don’t hesitate to loot or eliminate them)
- On your ranchby getting Pals to reproduce with each other
The eggs you collect are related to the biome they are in. For example, large quantities of frozen eggs can be found in snowy mountains, wet eggs near bodies of water, or hot eggs in volcanic areas. Here is a small selection of the discoveries we were able to make depending on the biomes we visited.
- Frozen Mountain – Water or Ice
- Volcano – fire
- Desert – Fire, Earth or Electricity
- Forest and Lake – Normal, Grass, Water, Dark, Dragon
Eggs come in different sizes: regular, large and giant. The larger the egg, the rarer Pal will be. So if you come across an egg that’s much larger than the others, collect it in hopes of stumbling upon a mate still unknown to your Paldex!
Although there is a wide variety of eggs in the wild, Breeding is a great way to create perfect friends or attack a species you’ve never encountered before. In fact, reproduction allows you to select the Pals of your choice to create a Pal that inherits aspects of its parents.
To optimize reproductionsIt is advisable to choose friends as parents who have the best statistics and the best passive skills so that they can pass on the best characteristics to their offspring.
To get a perfect Pal, it is best to choose happy Pals, also called shiny, as parents. You benefit from better stats overall. They are therefore the best parents you can have for breeding. But you still have to be lucky enough to meet them! So if you don’t have a lucky buddy, bet on the best buddies you have in your buddy box.
- Noticed : There is a possibility that the size of Pals has an impact on reproduction. Breeding very large buddies (especially bosses) seems to increase the likelihood of obtaining a giant egg. However, we are not sure of this information yet, so take it with a grain of salt! ”
However, in order for your friends to reproduce, you need to build a ranch. The latter is unlocked at level 19 and requires a lot of space. So design your camp according to the ranch, because it’s really impressive!
Once your ranch is installed, the parents are selected, All you have to do is assign them to the ranch and then give them cake (from the little box at the entrance) for the magic to work.
These sweet treats can be obtained in several ways: by catching or eliminating Lovander or baking your own cakes with a Marmite.
Making the cakes yourself will undoubtedly be rewarding and, above all, fun, but the recipe requires a lot of facilities, investments and resources.
- Flour – is obtained by growing wheat and then crushing it Crusher
- Red Berry – obtained from red berry plants by growing them or collecting them from the back Caprity on the farm
- Milk – obtained by bringing it into the farm of Mozzarella
- Egg – obtained by placing it in the farm of chip
- Honey – obtained by bringing it into the farm of Beegarde
- Don’t know where to find Caprity, Mozzarina, Chikipi or even Beegarde? Find their positions in our Paldex! ”’
However, if you decide to eliminate Lovander to collect mushrooms or cakes, be careful because there is a good chance that a Lovander raid will be triggered in your camp. It is unclear whether the genocide we had previously committed triggered this event after we returned to our camp, but it was a strange coincidence. They attack after dark, so be warned!
- Great Tip: We know Jormuntide is difficult to source, so here’s a tip for you! By breeding a Quiver (Boss) and a Relaxaurus (Boss) we were able to obtain one. Also, we invite you to reproduce this experience to try to get this Dragon and Water type buddy!
Now that you have eggs, you now need to hatch them… So, how to get an incubator ? Follow the leader !
The Incubator is a facility that you can unlock at character level 7. However, you cannot unlock it with simple technology points. In fact, you need ancient technology points but also parts of an ancient civilization to build it. But how do you get these strange resources?
Technological points can be obtained by completing a dungeon for the first time (i.e. by eliminating or capturing its boss) or by eliminating (always for the first time) one of the buddy bosses in the wild. They are marked on your map so you can easily identify them. However, when it comes to underground dungeons, you have to have strong observation skills to spot them. However, if you add a Leezpunk to your team, you may receive information about the location of one of them.
Pieces of an ancient civilization, as far as they are concerned, can be obtained in the same way, but there are some differences to note. You will receive coins from an ancient civilization every time you eliminate or catch a Pal boss that you can find in dungeons or in the wild, but also by catching or eliminating a lucky Pal, also called a “Shiny”.
Once you have the incubator, all you have to do is place an egg in it and wait for it to hatch. Depending on its size and the time speed specific to your server, the incubation period will last more or less long. A normal-sized egg hatches much faster than a giant egg.
Now you know everything about eggs, reproduction and hatching!
