Palworld: Should come to another platform thanks to Krafton

KRAFTON, Palworld, platform

Palworld was recently released for PS5, but thanks to a cooperation with Krafton, other platforms are now to be conquered.

Krafton, which is also known to be behind the successful long-running battle royale PUBG: Battlegrounds, has signed a new agreement with the developer studio PocketPair, which revolves around the survival game Palworld. This has been on everyone’s lips recently in several ways – not only because the longed-for PS5 version has finally been released, but above all because Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have now filed a lawsuit for alleged trademark infringements. Palworld was initially commonly referred to as “Pokémon with weapons” and the Pals are sometimes based heavily on well-known Pokémon.

Despite this legal dispute, PocketPair is also trying to make positive headlines. After the successes on PC and Xbox – PS5 sales figures are not yet available – the new cooperation with Krafton is now intended to bring Palworld to mobile devices. Krafton has acquired corresponding license rights for this purpose.

“Through this agreement, Krafton will bring the Palworld IP to the mobile platform,” the press release states. However, it doesn’t seem to be a 1:1 implementation of the main game, as it goes on to say: “The plan is to faithfully interpret the fun main elements of the original and implement them in a mobile environment. The project is carried out by Development team from PUBG Studios, a creative studio belonging to Krafton.”

The PC and Xbox versions of Palworld quickly captivated over 25 million players, who initially flocked to the game at the same time. On Steam, the title holds third place when it comes to the best number of simultaneous gamers in a game.

There is currently no release date for the mobile version.
