There were further announcements about Path of Exile in the live stream “GGG Live”. The Ranger class was introduced for Part 2, but the original game will receive a fresh expansion with “Necropolis” in March.
In the live stream “GGG Live” the guys from Grinding Gear Games announced all sorts of news about Path of Exile. We already reported this morning that the Path of Exile 2 beta is unfortunately noticeably postponed. In this context, the amount of time spent fine-tuning the gameplay was underestimated. Now there is an alpha in June, the beta later this year.
But there were not only negative headlines surrounding the action RPG sequel: the Ranger class was also announced for the game. This will be the most agile class in Path of Exile 2, with the ability to move while shooting. The Ranger also has a range of fast movement skills to quickly cross the battlefield and hit enemies with a barrage of arrow attacks from a distance.
You can find a trailer for the new class in the sequel, which will offer a fresh campaign with six acts, 100 environments, 600 monsters and 100 bosses.
To make good use of the waiting time until the release of the second part (or even just the start of the beta), you get a fresh expansion in the first Path of Exile. Path of Exile: Necropolis will be released for PC, Mac and consoles later this month, on March 29th.
The new add-on primarily introduces the Necropolis Challenge League. The Undertaker provides you with the Lantern of Arimor to illuminate the spirits in Wraeclast so that you can drive away the threat there and pursue your cryptic goal.
The DLC also features new Tier 17 maps and bosses, a host of endgame changes, new Transfigured Skill Gems and more.
