Call of Duty: Warzone seems to have Pay2Win. At least such allegations are currently coming up on Reddit. There a user posted a video that seems to prove that a weapon with a Battle Pass skin becomes more lethal.

Specifically, it's about the semi-automatic sniper rifle EBR-14, usually a good but not overpowering weapon for snipers. With the right skin, the EBR-14 can now kill with a single shot.

The Reddit user ChickenYug1 tests this in his clip by first giving a player a headshot with the sniper in a normal skin. The victim is badly injured, but survives. Then ChickenYug1 swaps his weapon for the same model, just with the so-called "Line Breaker" skin – and the head shot is deadly. Check it out for yourself:

The video is also credible in this respect, so that we can clearly see that the player who takes the headshot is clearly equipped with three protective plates and accordingly has 100 percent health. In addition, both versions of the EBR-14 that ChickenYug1 is trying to use have the same weapon attachments. Only the weapon skin makes the difference.

Are there any benefits to Battle Pass buyers?

On Reddit, the video has already received 16,000 upvotes within a day, and fans express harsh criticism in the comments. The developers should fix this as soon as possible and make weapon skins again purely optical extras.

Because the special problem is that the "Line Breaker" skin is not free for all players. The necessary blueprint can only be activated via the Battle Pass. So currently only players with the one-shot kill EBR-14 can move through Warzone who have previously bought the pass for 10 euros and have cleared it far enough. Non-paying players, on the other hand, have a clear disadvantage, which is why Reddit users also refer to this as Pay2Win.

Can this be fixed quickly? Probably yes. As some Reddit users already note, it can simply be a bug with the EBR-14 and not a planned Pay2Win. Therefore, it shouldn't be too much of a problem for the developers of Infinity Ward to fix the skin problem with an appropriate fix.
