The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is not only accompanied by praise and high ratings: We also had to withdraw the platinum award from the role-playing game due to bugs and other technical problems.
But CD Projekt has been working on a hotfix since its release, which has now been installed: Patch 1.04 is live on PlayStation and PC. And of course we have the patch notes and improvements for you.
Update 1.04 Patch Notes – What’s in it?
Patch 1.04 is so far for PC and PlayStation consoles (Xbox comes later), as well as Stadia and focuses mainly on the Performance and stability improvements. But it also fixes one of the more uncomfortable problems of the Steam version: You can now correctly adjust the language in the menu to that of your Steam client. Cyberpunk 2077 – Change language: How it works on Steam and GOG
In the official patch notes for update 1.04 CD Projekt reveals in detail which problems of Cyberpunk 2077 the patch fixes. We summarize the most important changes for you:

Diverse Bugs and quest glitches have been fixed, including Jackie’s strange behavior with the Ripperdoc and broken quest triggers in some missions (Gig: Freedom of the Press, Epistrophy and many more)

The Change from ego to third person view getting into a car is now smoother.

Cars should pop into the picture less often.
- Missing animations of NPCs Cutscenes are no longer missing.
- Crashes are reduced and should therefore occur less frequently.

The braindance sequences used in Cause seizures in epileptics could, were changed, weakened and slowed down in such a way that they should no longer affect affected people.

The muddy texture filter the PS4 version have been redesigned and should now be less muddy.
- The Europe language can now be correctly changed to the language of the Steam client in the Steam version.
The update is a slim 586 MB in size, so it should be downloaded quickly. For comparison, here are the previous changes from Update 1.03.
Update 1.03 Patch Notes – What’s in it?
Patch 1.03 appeared for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X / S immediately upon release and is around 4.5 GB in size on the PC (via GOG). Currently we just suit UpdateCrazy as the source for the patch notes, but we have already asked the developer for confirmation. According to them, the update creates Remedy for crashes, lags and frame rate drops:
- Improvements in performance and stability
- Performance optimization and improved frame rates for RTX GPUs
