People Can Fly took over the Phosphor Games development team and established a new subsidiary called People Can Fly Chicago.
Founded in 2009, Phosphor Games is a medium-sized studio responsible for “The Brookhaven Experiment”, “Reborn Hero: Gemini” and the Nether.
“Justin Corcoran, CEO of Phosphor Studios, said: “This opens a new chapter for our team. “We are very excited to open a new Triple-A studio with People Can Fly-People Can Fly Chicago. Our goal is to strengthen PCF’s business in the United States and help build People Can Fly as a global brand. “
People Can Fly CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski said: “The takeover of the Phosphor Games team is just the execution of the strategy we announced during the PCF Group’s recent IPO. “With the diversification of ongoing projects, we need experienced and ambitious professionals. To realize our plan.
“Considering Phosphor’s team experience and quality, I believe they will be important members of the PCF family and will promote our growth.”
The Polish studio People Can Fly was founded in 2002 and operates in Warsaw, Rzeszow, Lodz, New York, Newcastle and Montreal. The studio is known for games such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm and the recently released Outriders.
Through the new acquisition, the number of employees in the studio now exceeds 320 worldwide.
People Can Fly is currently working on two AAA programs. One of them is the new game from Square Enix, and the recently announced Take-Two Interactive’s original action-adventure game.
