Many modern vehicles have rear view cameras, which make parking or maneuvering much easier. If you have a car without such a camera, things are much more difficult, but Aldi now has a cheap retrofit solution for cars, trailers or motorhomes. The discounter offers a mirror reversing camera for retrofitting. The device is available in the online shop for 77 dollars.
The “SR5” from AEG offers wireless transmission and a viewing angle of 110 degrees. The camera also has an IP65 certification and is dust and water protected.
The 5-inch (12.7 centimeters) screen attaches to the rearview mirror. It optionally displays distance lines to help with orientation. The power is supplied simply via the 12-volt connection (cigarette lighter) in the vehicle, so complicated cable laying is not necessary.
To ensure that a good image is delivered even in the dark, the camera module has seven infrared LEDs. If you want to retr ofit a reversing camera in your vehicle cheaply, then Aldi’s offer is good. The set includes everything you need for assembly, and everything is easily explained in the operating instructions.
