YouTube has already signed another star on its live streaming platform, but this time it has not snatched it from competing services.
Pie Has signed an agreement with YouTube to play specifically on the platform. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but it allows YouTube to ensure who is its biggest star.
Despite many public embarrassments, PewDiePie's channel is still the largest channel for a single creator on YouTube. However, it is interesting that YouTube hopes to sign another exclusive agreement with the star after this infamous incident. He paid two men in India to hold up a slogan "The death of everyone" when YouTube thought that this It was enough to cancel his YouTube Red reality show and make him withdraw from the site's advanced advertising program.
In the same year, PewDiePie used racial discrimination in his now infamous PUBG stream. The situation was so bad that his network partner Disney had interrupted all contact with him in 2017. Two years later, after pledged to donate $ 50,000 to the anti-hate organization, PewDiePie backed away after strong opposition from fans.
Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg said: "YouTube has been my home for more than a decade. It feels natural to do live streaming on the platform, because I continue to find new ways to create content and interact with fans around the world."
"Real-time streaming is my focus in 2020 and beyond, so being able to work with YouTube and stay at the forefront of new product features will be special and exciting for the future."
PewDiePie is just the latest result of the ongoing streaming battle between YouTube, Twitch and Mixer, and YouTube has only recently signed on Courage. After throwing Ninja and Shroud to Mixer, Twitch countered by signing an exclusive deal with Lirik, Timthetatman and Drlupo (the biggest creator).
