Philips therefore introduces two gaming monitors from its premium Momentum range, with 4K resolution and 2K resolution as the key. Here’s what to remember
The premium Momentum range from Philips therefore houses two 27-inch monitors for PC gaming, namely the models 27M1F5500P and 27M1F5800. Knowing that the Momentum range is designed to embed the latest onscreen features, we’ve priced it slightly higher.
Two Philips screens for the gamer
César Acosta, Gaming Product Manager for Europe at MMD Monitors & Displays explains:
The new Philips Momentum gaming monitors are packed with features specifically designed to give gamers what matters most to get the most out of the most dynamic and visually rich video games on the market. With the 27M1F5500P and 27M1F5800, gamers can count on maximum gaming intensity thanks to the implementation of high-performance features that guarantee remarkable images and smooth gameplay. In other words, the game as you expect it to be.
In addition to the usual marketing communications, we are particularly entitled to two NANO IPS panels with wide viewing angles, benefiting from Ultra Wide Color technology. Also note the SmartContrast function, which allows you to analyze the content in real time and automatically adjust the colors and backlight intensity to increase contrast and offer the user a better quality experience. In short, Philips wants to integrate intelligent technologies.
Visually, the screens are identical in terms of design and differ only in terms of resolution. The same applies to the different technologies, which are identical in both models.
