Strengths and weaknesses of the Pikachu EX deck
The great strength of this deck is how quickly Pikachu EX can deal damage. If you have 3 Pokemon on your Bench, that’s actually 120 points of guaranteed damage to your opponent, which is ideal against any deck that requires multiple turns of preparation.
This deck is strong against:
- Staross/Articuno decks, as the electric element works well in this deck
- The deck sulfide EX, which requires a bit of preparation in addition to this card’s elemental weakness against Pikachu EX
- The Dragonite deck that takes too long to “activate” against this rush-oriented deck.
This deck is weak against:
- The Farosing deck that perfectly counters Pikachu with the damage he deals depending on the damage he takes.
- The Machamp EX deck, the latter has enough HP to take and kill Pikachu EX
- The Bonesatueur EX deck. If you’re unlucky, it’ll be a Pikachu EX that will take to the skies in one round.
In your starting hand, you ideally want to have Pikachu EX and your other Pokémon, or something to retrieve them with, for example, Poké Balls.
The deck Pikachu EX is one of the easiest to play and has an excellent place in the current meta. Her Cercle Electric Deals 30 damage but receives 30 additional damage per attack Pokémon on your bench. This increases the damage to 90 very quickly. Elector EX is also an excellent Pokemon to use as an Active Pokemon when needed.
In summary:
- Fill your bench with Pokémon
- Take advantage of your Pikachu’s extra damage
