After a decade of waiting, Pikmin 4 is finally on the horizon. From July 21st, we will embark on an adventure with the help of many small plant-like creatures to rescue Captain Olimar. However, if you’re eager to get into Pikmin 4 as soon as possible, I have good news; a demo of the game was released today.

The demo also comes with a seven-minute gameplay overview trailer so those embarking on their space adventures know what to expect.
The trailer description reads: “Work with tiny plant creatures named Pikmin and lovable rescue puppy Oatchi to explore every corner of this mysterious planet. In the strategic Dandoli campaign Rescue trapped castaways, collect treasure both on and below the Earth’s surface, set off on daring nocturnal adventures, and more!”
The trailer shows off a ton of features that players will be interested in, even asking the age-old question “What is Pikmin?” No answer; simply explain that the Pikmin are ready for action and what they can do.
I’m trying to answer the question “What is Pikmin?” I myself, last week, while writing about what rescue puppy Ozzie really is (and attaching various dog noses to him). I still don’t know anything, all I know is that Pikmin is a plant-animal hybrid and Orchi seems to be a plant-animal hybrid and an alien.
Regardless of what Pikmin is, or what Orchi is, there’s no denying that Pikmin 4 looks good. I certainly look forward to commanding my own army and sending them headfirst into rocks, walls, etc. What are your thoughts on Pikmin 4 so far? Would you like to try the demo version? let us know.
