In the 5th season of Diablo 4 there is a new way to get loot. From world level 3 onwards you can fight for survival against the hordes of hell. The currency you collect is used to open chests. However, you shouldn’t open too many of the loot boxes at once, as some players have found that this pushes the game to its limits.
Can you really farm too much gold?
In the new Horde Survival mode, the answer is actually yes, as Reddit user CaineMoon discovered. In a Reddit post, the player explains that he is well 148 million gold

For the amount of gold 1.110 Burning Aether farmed, the currency you get during Horde mode.
It’s not entirely clear why all this gold is so overwhelming for the game. Some people in the comments are speculating that it’s because the server has to generate lots of small piles of gold, then assigns random values to them and determines where these piles are around the chest and what they look like.
All this information should land simultaneously on the game client and thus be available to the hiccup
According to the player Blackichman1984 he has something similar on the PlayStation 5 The console is even said to completely crashed when too many loot chests were opened.

Gold blessing delights players twice
The possibility of farming a lot of gold with the Hell Hordes solves a problem that has existed since Season 4. Especially in the late endgame, the Cost of upgrading of equipment is immense and you often have to try out several items to get the desired values.
As the player Edymnion in another Reddit post As a second positive effect, the new availability of large quantities of gold at least puts a stop to the black market to some extent.
