There are still countless secrets in Cyberpunk 2077. Even more than three and a half years after its release in December 2020, we still don’t know all the tricks and mysteries that the role-playing game has up its sleeve. Even the developers themselves confirmed this in an interview with IGN a few months ago.
Fans are all the more pleased when players reveal new details and share them with the community. This time Aggressive_Seacock dug out a small switchThe Reddit user shares what it’s all about in a video clip:

Here you will find the switch
The small, inconspicuous switch is hidden in Westbrook, right on the border between Japantown and Charter Hill. We have marked the exact location for you on the following screenshots. The quickest way to get there is to travel to the fast travel point “Lele Park” or take the metro to the “Japantown South” station.
What happens when I press the button? With a quick click of the F key, you can turn off the lights in all of Night City. Not completely, of course (billboards will still shine at you) – but at least most of the street lights will go dark. We drove and traveled all over the city and the lights were off everywhere.
The light will probably stay off until you turn it back on manually. Even after we let 24 hours pass three times, the light did not turn on again on its own. This is what it looks like in comparison:
Fun fact: The lines that run above the button are quotes from songs. “Turn out the lights, the party’s over” is from The Party is Over by Willie Nelson.
By the way, Aggressive_Seacock is not the first player to find the button. Two years ago, Reddit user SonmiSuccubus451 shared his discovery after Update 1.5, which, however, did not receive quite as much attention.
It is unclear whether this dark skin also has any gameplay advantages – for example, whether it affects the visibility of NPCs and enemies. However, it is probably just a little joke by the developers. If there are more mysteries hidden behind it, the hard-working Cyberpunk 2077 community will surely dig it up sooner or later.
