There is also a disruptive factor in Starfield that runs through all open-world titles from developer Bethesda: Because the game world is so full of loot that can be sold or used, the player inventory is often full to the brim or even overloaded.
Of course, you could easily install a mod that increases the load capacity – but that would be boring. What’s more interesting is that players have found a creative, if macabre, way to get around the limitations of the inventory system.
A dead maggot as a backpack
A recent video shared on Reddit shows a player storing their loot in a dead space maggot called a xenogrub, then dragging that body across the galaxy to avoid its weight. But see for yourself:

This macabre wearing technique has caused a lot of excitement and amusement on the platform. User para1131_F33L comments: This just blew my head off
while DeathBySnuSnu999 added: Bruh just hacked the carrying system
.
However, this trick is not completely new: Other players point out that such exploits are nothing new in Bethesda games. User plasmaSunflower notes: This has been going on since Oblivion. Bethesda never changes
. Just like the annoying load limit, levering out is also part of the tradition.
Things are said to have been particularly dark in Fallout 4: Players here first stuffed corpses with items and then dismembered them because it was enough to only carry one body part with them in order to be able to access the corpse’s inventory.
However, if you want to try out the Starfield trick yourself, you should be a little careful. As chet_brosley reveals in the comments, one such trick went wrong for him when his backpack hit a rock and disappeared, never to be seen again.
